Optibelt RBK is a high performance ribbed belt for all modern auxiliary drives in automotive vehicles. Optibelt RBK provides high power transmission, minimal slip, quiet running and increased temperature resistance.

Space-saving arrangement

Thanks to its high flexural flexibility, this belt design allows a space-saving arrangement of the auxiliary units in the increasingly tight installation spaces of today's cars. The use of elastic ribbed belts eliminates the need for tensioning systems. This solution supports the automotive industry's quest for flexibility, weight reduction, cost optimization and reduction of CO2 emissions. Please also note the Optibelt installation tools specially designed for elastic ribbed belts to prevent the belt from overstretching.

Safe power transmission and maximum mileage

Even under environmental influences such as dust, moisture and extreme temperatures, the optibelt RBK ensures safe power transmission. Whether in combination with modern tensioning systems or as an elastic ribbed belt: The optibelt RBK meets the vehicle manufacturer's specifications and achieves maximum mileage. Our wide product range also includes double-sided V-ribbed belts with the profile designation „DPK“.

Important: Elastic ribbed belts must never be used as a replacement for normal ribbed belts. optibelt distinguishes the elastic ribbed belts by the additional "E" in the item number, e.g. 6 EPK 842. Double sided ribbed belts have the item number suffix “DPK”.

Safety tips

  • Please observe installation regulations and safety instructions supplied by the manufacturer of the car / truck
  • Please only perform installation of the drive belts with special tools and a minimum exertion of force. The use of screwdrivers, crowbars or such tools is prohibited
  • Do not treat the control unit components with corrosive chemicals. Belts must not come into contact with oil or similar substances
  • Fill in the timing belt adhesive label legibly and attach it firmly in the engine compartment
  • If individual components are faulty, the other components must also be replaced

Storage

  • Store timing belts dry and at +15 to +25ºC.
  • Improper storage, e.g. exposure to oxygen, light, extreme temperatures or moisture, can change the physical properties and render the V-belt unusable
  • Until the V-belts are used, they should be stored in their original packaging and free of tension
  • Do not exceed a height of 300 mm when stacking the belts, otherwise deformation may occur

Please Note - The size of the belt should always be checked with original before purchasing. This is because sometimes different belts are used within the same model/engine variation when there is more than 1 type of alternator / air compressor / power steering pump / etc. used.
