Oil & Fuel Absorbent Sock – 80mm x 1.2m (Box of 20)

Oil and fuel spill absorbents are designed to absorb hydrocarbon spills such as oils, solvents and fuels. Polypropylene oil and fuel absorbents are hydrophobic, meaning they will repel and float on water. This make them popular in marine environments to clean up oil sheens and spills in oceans, rivers, lakes and ponds.

Absorbent socks are designed to encircle spills for clean up or to protect areas from the path of spills. They absorb liquid spills quickly and stop them from spreading further. 

  • Once absorbent socks have contained the spill, absorbent pads or granules can be used to soak up the pooled liquid
  • Ultra-absorbent filling is fast acting and retains absorbed liquid
  • Oil & Fuel Absorbent Products are hydrophobic (water repellent), and designed to absorb oils, fuels, solvents and most petrochemicals from land and water, as they repel water while readily absorbing all oils and fuels
  • They will float even when fully saturated with oil, making them ideal for spills on waterways and marine areas A 1.2m sock can absorb up to 4.5 litres.
