Hex Thin Nyloc nuts are hex-shaped, internally threaded fasteners with a nylon insert designed to resist loosening.

  • Hex shape for standard spanner or socket use
  • Internal thread with integrated nylon insert

How the nylon insert works

  • Prevents loosening caused by vibration
  • Does not cut threads into the nylon; instead, it deforms elastically over the screw threads
  • Creates a locking action in two ways:
    • Forces the bottom face of the bolt threads against the top face of the nut threads, increasing friction
    • Applies a compressive force directly onto the screw
