M12 Flat Rnd Washer Zinc Plated

Flat Washers are used to increase the bearing surface of a nut or fastener's head thus spreading the clamping force over a larger area.

They can be useful when working with soft materials and oversized or irregular shaped holes. The washer also ensures a smooth base for the nut to press against.

(Applications)

The standard washer used in most bolted connections, placed beneath the nut, the bolt head, or both. Select a material that is compatible with the bolt and suited to the surrounding environment.

Flat washers must be selected to match a compatible material system to ensure proper strength & performance. ie stainless steel bolt with stainless steel nut & washer, galvanised with galvanised etc.
