Original Schnorr High stress load washers, HS

  • This safety washer is, in principle, a load washer with a smaller outer diameter than those according to DIN 6796.
  • A notable feature of these washers is the slight curved form, which provides a progressively increasing characteristic curve.
  • Despite the smaller outside diameter dimensions, this makes it possible to achieve the same load as the load washers according to DIN 6796.
  • These washers are primarily used when the space available is insufficient for standardised load washers.

Note

To ensure optimum strength, corrosion resistance, and long-term performance, washers should be selected from a material compatible with the bolt and nut. For example, use stainless steel washers with stainless steel fasteners, and Zinc plate washers with Zinc plate fasteners.

Geomet is a proprietary water-based coating dispersion containing metal oxides, metalic zinc and aluminium flakes. The zinc and aluminium platelets align in multiple layers forming a metalic silver-gray coting. Applied as a liquid, the coating becomes totally inorganic after curing at 575-600 deg F (300-315 Deg C). (Further details below)
