Flat Round Tower Washer - Hot Dipped Galvanised - (Box=100)

Flat round tower washers are used to increase the bearing surface of a nut or fastener's head thus spreading the clamping force over a larger area.

They can be useful when working with soft materials and oversized or irregular shaped holes. The washer also ensures a smooth base for the nut to press against.

Used in tower bolt connections, placed beneath the nut, the bolt head, or both.

Flat round tower washers 

  • Fully conforms to AS 1559 requirements
  • Hot Dipped galvanised to AS/NZS 1214
  • Increased thickness over standard flat washers

Applications

  • For use with tower bolt assemblies 

To ensure optimum strength, corrosion resistance, and long-term performance, flat washers should be selected from a material compatible with the bolt and nut. For example, use stainless steel washers with stainless steel fasteners, and galvanised washers with galvanised fasteners.

Note: galvanised nuts are typically paired with galvanised bolts to prevent uneven corrosion (called galvanic corrosion). Mixing them with non-coated or different metals can shorten their lifespan.
