Flat Washers are used to increase the bearing surface of a nut or fastener's head thus spreading the clamping force over a larger area. They can be useful when working with soft materials and oversized or irregular shaped holes. The washer also ensures a smooth base for the nut to press against.

BUMAX is widely recognized as the world’s strongest stainless steel fastener. It delivers the same strength and performance as class 8.8 high-tensile carbon steel, while providing the added advantages of stainless steel, including exceptional corrosion resistance. BUMAX 88 is a premium A4-grade fastener that offers significantly enhanced corrosion resistance compared to standard A4, thanks to its higher molybdenum content.

Applications

Bumax 88/109 are used in demanding applications in industries like oil and gas, pulp and paper, marine, petrochemical, energy and many other industries where standard A4 fasteners simply cannot do the job.

Note: To ensure optimum strength, corrosion resistance, and long-term performance, flat washers should be selected from a material compatible with the bolt and nut. For example, use stainless steel washers with stainless steel fasteners, and BUMAX washers with BUMAX fasteners.
