RCC = Recessed Countersunk (Cup) type

A recessed, cup-style nylon finishing washer used with countersunk screws to provide a neat, finished appearance while protecting the mounting surface.

It is made from black, UV-stable nylon, providing electrical insulation and protection against scratching and vibration.

Features

The metric finishing washer or recessed washer, is capable of protecting different surfaces. It can also be used in electrical insulation.

For use with:

  • Countersunk head
  • Metal thread screws

Limitations:

  • Not suitable for high-load structural applications
  • Nylon provides lower tensile strength compared with carbon materials or stainless steel

Note: Nylon is hygroscopic and absorbs moisture, which can reduce its strength and stiffness while increasing flexibility. For permanent wet or marine environments, use a suitable metal fastener instead.
