Squirter DTI's are an innovative Direct Tension Indication (DTI) device. Making bolting easy and reliable.

A Direct Tension Indicator (DTI) washer is a compressible steel washer that has raised protrusions on one face.

When it is installed with structural bolts, the washer flattens as the bolt is tightened, and this compression corresponds to the level of bolt tension achieved.

The DuraSquirt® DTI functions in the same way as a standard DTI washer, but includes orange silicone added at the weld points beneath each protrusion. As tightening occurs, the protrusions compress and force the silicone outward to the edge of the washer, giving a clear visual signal that the required bolt tension has been reached.

  • Made from compressible steel with raised bumps on one side
  • Used with structural bolts to measure and confirm tension
  • Compression of the washer indicates correct bolt tightening
  • DuraSquirt® version includes orange silicone for visual confirmation
  • Silicone is pushed outward during tightening as an indicator of achieved tension
  • Manufactured and certified in accordance with ASTM F959
  • Recognised under Australian Standard AS4100 for structural steel tensioning using DTIs
